Taysir makes it easy for anyone from any background to learn the Qur’an.

Taysir’s Qur’an courses have been developed by experts in the fields of Qur’anic studies, Islamic studies and teaching methodologies. Each course has been carefully curated to provide the learner with the foundation they need to further their connection with the Qur’an. Our instructors have degrees and diplomas in Islamic studies, hold Ijaazahs and have more than 15 years of experience in teaching Qur’an.

Our Team

Zenab Hamdan, Taysir Founder & Saahibi Co-Founder

Zenab Hamdan is Chadian native born and raised in the Holy City of AlMadinah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She memorized the Quran in two years, concluding at the tender age of 12. She started teaching Tajweed and Quran at the age of 18 and never looked back! 

She went on later to get certified in teacher training courses in AlMadinah. She also taught at an International Isalmic studies school for women that overlooked Uhud Mountain. She taught Quran and Islamic studies to many nationalities ranging from Japanese, Russian, American, Nigerian, and Indonesian;  giving her the privilege to learn and understand the unique challenges that each dialect may have in reciting the Quran. 

Before her departure to America in 2011, she had the opportunity to manage a Quran memorization school with further strengthened her leadership and administration skills. 

She later co-founded her own Islamic school in Houston. TX for kids whose primary focus was recitation, memorization,and understanding of the Quran. 

Ishraq Qaddoura, Saahibi Co-Founder

Ishraq Qaddoura is a Palestinian who was born and raised in Jordan. Her parents took advantage of her early promptitude and started teaching her the Quran at the age of 4. As a gift for her khatma they opened a Quran teaching center, called "Al-Ishraq"; which is located in Al-Jubaiha, Amman. Alhamdulliah, more than a thousand students have graduated from this institution so far, and to this day it remains benefiting the community. 

Ishraq has a bachelors in Fundamental Principles of Religion (Sharia) from the University of Jordan. In college, she collaborated with coworkers to create a curriculum for some Quranic schools/ centers.

Since moving to the U.S. in 2015, Ishraq has experienced teaching children and adults for over six years. She has taught the Quran, it’s Tajweed and Islamic Studies. Furthermore, Ishraq seeks for advanced Islamic concepts as well as ways of understanding and memorizing the Quran. These can be utilized to progress and invest in the youth of the Ummah.

Maheen Akhtar, Quarn Teacher

Maheen Akhtar finished the memorization of the Quran at the age of 13. She is now a current student at the Qalam Institute. 

While she was studying and for a few years afterwards, she helped with the other students' memorization. She studied the rules of Tajweed in high school. Maheen also has experience teaching in summer school and from the grades PreK to 2nd grade. 

Khadra Omar, Quarn Teacher

She is a Hafida, mother, a nurse, and Quran Teacher. She finished her Ijaza (حفص عن عاصم ) with Usadtha Zenab Hamdan.
